DERBIT SP FR4 and DERBIT AR4 (Anti Root) was specified by MDS Architects for this prestigious project due to its known abilities and record. During April 2015, Quake Seal was asked to put forward a proposal. In conjunction with the DERBIT team, detailed drawings were presented to MDS Architects. In June 2015 contractor Quake Seal was awarded the tender for the Mall of Africa project which is situated in Waterfall, Midrand, JHB. The Mall of Africa will be the largest mall in Africa and is being built for the owner, Atterbury Waterfall Investment Company (Pty) Ltd.

After being awarded the contract and as selected subcontractors for WHBO and Group 5 joint venture, Quake Seal commenced work during September 2015.

DERBIT, as well as Imperbel, have performed regular site inspections and assisted the Architects and Contractor with detailed drawings where plans have changed.

The Town Square and North Piazza totalled over 15 000m² of DERBIT waterproofing systems. Quake Seal had a dedicated team of 15 artisans and 2 supervisors permanently on site for the last four months to successfully complete the waterproofing project on time.
